Renzo Azzarello has been in the restaurant business for almost two decades and has managed some of the finest restaurants in the San Francisco Bay Area. He designed Café Renzo's classic Italian menu to focus on the cuisine of his childhood in Sicily. Renzo and his Mamma Carmela have created a menu rich with traditional family recipes — reflecting their commitment to authentic handcrafted foods. Mamma Carmela prepares freshly baked bread and hand-made pasta everyday. In addition, the café takes advantage of the seasonal bounty available to the Bay Area. Our extensive wine list includes many of the best wines available form Italy and California.
Lively from opening until closing, the café opens up for sidewalk
seating and people-watching along University Ave, allowing guests to enjoy
